The Success of Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred Expansion: What’s Next?

Blizzard Entertainment's decision to delay the second expansion of Diablo 4 until 2026 has stirred mixed reactions among fans.

Diablo 4’s Necromancer is all the rage this season thanks to their minion build – and the Ring of Mendeln is a big part of why they’re so powerful buy Diablo 4 Boosting. Here’s how to get the ring.

The Necromancer’s Ring of Mendeln in Diablo 4 is a must-have for anyone running a minion build this season, and while some players are experiencing a bug where they don’t feel the benefit of its buffs, every skeleton summoner needs this artifact in their inventory.

The ring is so sought after because it offers buffs for minion attack speed, Skeletal Warrior Mastery, Skeletal Mage Mastery, Golem Mastery, overall damage, and overall intelligence. This not only makes it one of the best items in the game for minion Necro builds, but also for anyone making use of this skill tree.

Where to find the Ring of Mendeln

The Ring of Mendeln is a unique item in Diablo 4, meaning it doesn’t work like a typical Aspect or ability and it doesn’t have a set location where it can be found.

Diablo 4 uses a randomized loot system, which means the ring could drop from an elite enemy or just as easily be found in a chest during a Helltide.

However, it can be target-farmed by summoning, then killing, The Beast in the Ice – where it’s a known and reliable reward drop.

The Beast in the Ice is an endgame boss that players can summon in World Tier 4 by activating a Nightmare Sigil in the Glacial Fissure.

To access this dungeon, you’ll need to craft the sigil at the Occultist NPC by using nine Distilled Fear items and 250 does of Sigil Powder. Both these ingredients can be farmed by competing Nightmare Dungeons and salvaging unwanted Sigils.

Other methods

You can also find the Ring of Mendeln by engaging in other Diablo 4 endgame modes – the higher the difficulty, the more chance it has of dropping from elites or being found in chests.

For best results, you can complete Helltides, Infernal Hordes, and the Kurast Undercity. There’s a good chance it’ll drop eventually. Opening caches from the Tree of Whispers is another reliable method of finding it.

Once you have it, your Minion Necromancer will likely see a boost to how powerful their summons become – provided you’re not impacted by the bug. However, this is likely to be patched in time.
